Shephard comes back to Vancouver, ex Brasov

Bandits/35694">Vancouver Bandits (CEBL) signed 27-year-old Canadian ex-international 208cm forward Grant Shephard. He returns to Bandits after playing for CSM Corona Brasov in Romanian Liga Nationala. Shephard played in three different competitions last year, gaining experience at various levels. In 35 Liga Nationala games, he averaged 5.9ppg and 3.4rpg. He also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 6.1ppg and 4.3rpg. During the last summer season, he played for Bandits, averaging 3.7ppg and 2.3rpg in 6 games.
Shephard was also a member of the Canadian international program for some years. He played for the Canadian Senior National Team between 2018 and 2024 and previously for the University National Team in 2019.
Shephard is a very experienced player. He has played between Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Portugal (Esgueira), Romania, Sweden (Jamtland), Canada (Ravens, Thunderbirds, Owls and River Lions) and NIBC (Montverde Academy).
Among many awards his team won was the CEBL Western Conference Regular Season in 2025. Shephard was also voted to the All-Canada West Rookie of the Year back in 2018.
