BC Prievidza (Tipos SBL) released experienced 36-year old British-Bosnia and Herzegovina ex-international center Fahro Alihodzic (208cm-118kg-1989, college: UAB). In 13 Tipos SBL games he had 7.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.4apg this season. He played 10 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 6.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.4spg. He also played for Sony Centre Fury (SBC) in Scottish league.
Alihodzic was also a member of the British international program for some years. He played for British Senior National Team between 2015 and 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2009.
Alihodzic is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Alihodzic has played professionally in Argentina (Estudiantes Concordia), Belgium (Leuven Bears), Estonia (Rapla), Greece (Panionios, Rethymno, Promitheas and Charilaos), Hungary (Kaposvari), Kosovo (Sigal Prishtina and Bashkimi), Scotland, Spain and United Kingdom (Lions and Gladiators). His team won Scottish Cup in 2026.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-British League Honorable Mention in 2024.
He graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player. Alihodzic played also for Fordham University for 2 years.
