Xander Pintelon transfers to Wake Forest

Xander Pintelon

Wake Forest University strengthened their roster with the addition of Belgian ex-international 6-11 forward Xander Pintelon. He is the second foreign player on the team, joining Danish Marqus Marion who signed earlier. Originally from Oostkamp, Belgium, Pintelon is coming to Wake Forest from Florida Atlantic University where he played for one year. Last season, he averaged 6.3ppg and 3.7rpg in 29 games.
He played at BV Topsportschool U16 Antwerp between 2017-18, KBGO Finexa Basket@Sea Oostende during 2020-23, Filou Oostende during 2020-24, and then at Val-Dieu Spirou Basket Charleroi for one season. He helped his team make it to the EYBL U16 Division 2 Final Four in 2018. His team played in the BNXT League Finals in 2023. His team won the BNXT Supercup in three consecutive years: 2022, 2023, and 2024. Owls also won the BNXT League Group B Championship in 2022 and 2024. Pintelon helped his team make it to the BNXT League Semifinals in 2022. His team won the Belgian League Regular Season Championship in 2021. Owls also won the Belgian League Championship that year, 2022, 2023, and 2024. His team also won the BNXT League Championship in 2024.
He also represented Belgium at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece three years ago. Pintelon's team reached the Semifinals and he averaged 9 points per game.
