Maroussi B.C. (GBL) signed 29-year-old Belarusian 208cm power forward Maksim Salash for the upcoming season. He spent the last two years at JL Bourg en Bresse in French Betclic ELITE ProA, averaging 10.5ppg and 3.5rpg in 33 games last season. Salash was instrumental in helping his team reach the semifinals and was named to the Eurobasket.com All-French League All-Bosmans Team. In Eurocup, he played 18 games with averages of 11.1ppg, 4.3rpg, and 1.0apg.
He was also a member of the Belarusian international program for some years. Salash played for Belarusian Senior National Team between 2016 and 2023 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2016.
He also represented Belarus at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 21.5 ppg and had 6 rpg.
Salash is a very experienced player. He has played in Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Poland (Polfarmex), Russia (BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod), Spain (Ourense, Huesca, and Burgos), and Belarus (BC Minsk, BC Minsk Second Team, and BC Minsk U20 team).
His team won the Russian Cup in 2023.
