Sitnik comes back to Grodno

Defending champion BK Grodno-93 (Premier League) signed experienced 35-year-old ex-international 190cm guard Kirill Sitnik, agency: Alti Sport, for the upcoming season. It is his comeback to Grodno as he has played there before. Sitnik played most recently at Borisfen in the Premier League. In 39 games, he averaged 12.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.4apg, and 1.6spg last season. He helped them finish the regular season as the second-best team in the league and advance to the league semifinals. Sitnik was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Honorable Mention.
Sitnik represented Belarus at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 4.5 ppg and had 2 rpg.
He has played also in Russia (Runa Basket, Vostok-65 Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and Dinamo Vladivostok), Belarus (BC Minsk and Gomelskiye Rysi Gomel 2nd team), and Russia.
Sitnik has won many awards during his career, including playing in the final of Russian Superleague 1 in 2022. In 2024, he was selected to Eurobasket.com Belarusian League All-Domestic Players Team. Sitnik is currently close to retirement age as a player, and it may be one of his last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Grodno.
