Metallurg Magnitogorsk (Superleague 1) agreed terms with 27-year old Belarusian forward Maxim Liutych (203cm-101kg-1997). He already started the season at BC Minsk in Belarusian Premier League. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 12.9rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1bpg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week (2 times). The last season season he played at another Belarusian team COR-Borisfen Mogilev (also in Premier League).
Liutych represented Belarus at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Division B in Oradea (Romania) seven years ago. During this event he scored an average of 12.6 points per game and had 7.4 rebounds per game.
He has played previously in Belarus (RGUOR Minsk, Grodno, Rubon, Rubon Vitebsk 2nd team and BC Minsk Second Team) and Russia (Burevestnik and Tambov).
Among many awards his team won Belarusian Cup in 2018. Liutych was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Honorable Mention in 2022.
