PJ Byrd (ex Sokhumi) joins Borisfen

PJ Byrd

COR-Borisfen Mogilev (Premier League) agreed terms with 25-year old American guard PJ Byrd (185cm-84kg-1999, college: Southern). He played last season at Sokhumi in Georgian Superleague. In 15 A League games he had 13.5ppg, 1.9rpg, 4.7apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the Georgian A League final after they ended regular season as second best team. A very impressive year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A-League Third Team.
His team won Atlantic 10 Regular Season in 2019.
Byrd graduated from Southern University in 2023 and it will be his second season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Colorado State University, Virginia Commonwealth University.
