Allianz Pallacanestro Trieste (Serie A) signed 25-year-old Australian international 208cm forward Josh Bannan (college: Montana). He began the season with Tasmania JackJumpers in the Australian NBL league. In 34 games, he posted impressive averages of 15.5ppg, 9.4rpg, and 2.3apg. Last season, he competed for Limoges CSP Elite (Betclic ELITE ProA) in the French league and also played for Bullets (NBL).
Bannan has been a member of the Australian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Australian senior team since 2024 and previously for the Under 17 National Team in 2018.
Bannan also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) last year. His team won Gold and he averaged 4 points per game.
He has traveled extensively during his pro career, playing in France, Australia, and North America. Bannan has played professionally in France and the NBA Summer League with the LA Clippers.
Among many awards, he was voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Rookie of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from the University of Montana in 2023 and is currently in his third season in pro basketball.
